Tennis Equipment Explained

The right equipment and the right court is essential to a good game of tennis. Below is a summary of needs basic.

Racquet Selection

1. A well balanced racket is an expert made a good investment for good tennis. Twelve to eighteen U.S. dollars invested in a racket of nationally recognized quality will be well spent.

2. The handle of the racket should be small. A circle of four and a half inches recommended for beginners.

3. Most modern snowshoes balance heavier on the handle in the head by a faster action. In selecting of a racket, the player must swing a number of different rackets and find what seems to you.

Racket Care

The racquet should maintained in a press and waterproof at all times that is not being used. During the winter must be packed in a dry place, where no moisture can get to it. Otherwise chains tend to putrefaction and the structure is deformed.

Balls

Wright and Ditson, Spalding, Wilson, Dunlop, or balls of Pennsylvania that carry this year and the official stamp must be purchased as often as necessary. The balls are good only while felt lining remains intact, and rebound is perfect.

Nets

1. cotton nets (which costs about six dollars) are fine for occasional use in the gym or makeshift grass courts.

2. external networks should be made of tarred hemp, with a strong canvas roof, and steel or wire rope. If placed in a steel cable, the network can be left out all night without loosening, but with a wire rope, the network must be loosened for the night. Nets last years if taken at night and when it rains. A good network of costs from fifteen to forty dollars. steel nets, fully weatherproof, are growing in favor especially for the winter.

Types of Courts

1. More efficient cuts from the point of view of conservation are cement, asphalt or composition courts. These guys do not need attention, except the painting of lines on the court once a year. The downside, from a player's perspective, is that the surface can be hard on the feet and the balls to wear or fade more quickly.

a. These courts are expensive to build (from $ 900 to $ 3,000), but last many years and no maintenance expense.

2. The most common cuts are clay or gravel or soil. This guy needs daily care in the deployment, raking, and sprinkling, if the area will continue without problems bounces the ball accurately.

a. The disadvantage of this type is that it does not dry for a day or more after the daily rain and requires repair.

b. The cost of construction of this type is small ($ 200 to $ 500). However, the maintenance expense is high.

3. grass courts, if they are good, implies a high cost both in construction and maintenance.
a. They are easy on the eyes and feet and provide a perfect medium for ball bounces and spins.

Costumes

1. The suit dresses or shorts must be all white, so no distraction of color is given.

2. The suit is the seat, without ornamentation and should allow perfect freedom of movement. Must be in good taste and make the user feel appropriately dressed.

3. Regulation, on the tennis court shoes that are to be used Lightweight and close fitting on heavy wool socks that absorb sweat and blisters.

4. A visor or cap should be used against sunlight to avoid eyestrain.

Tapes and lining

1. There are ribbons of steel, driven into the ground and painted white, are durable and a good investment. However, some Players complain that the ball bounces when you hit especially lines.

2. Dry lime is easy to apply, but insufficient, since it is scattered by the wind and players.

3. Painting is the most practical backing material, with a duration of one year without replacement.

With the equipment mentioned in the place is on the right foot for a great game of tennis. Good luck!
