Point Tennis Racquet
Tennis is a very fun and challenging game. One of the most difficult parts of tennis to master is the art of serving. Serving the ball consists of throwing it into the air and hitting it into the proper hit zone on the opponent's side of the tennis court. This simple little action is what improving your tennis serve skills is all about.
Their are many different types of serves. One type of serve is hit so the ball stays flat and aerodynamic to gain speed, this serve is referred to as a 'flat serve'. Another type of serve is a 'slice serve', where you slice the ball causing it to spin making it difficult for the opponent to return.
You get a primary and secondary serve on every point where it is your turn to serve, you rotate by games. Usually you switch serve every odd game in your match.
When it is your turn to serve your primary serve is your chance to win the point easily. Give it your best shot because if you miss the hit zone or hit the net you get another serve. If you hit the net and the ball bounces over into the hit zone it is referred to as a 'let' and you get another serve. A 'let' can't be played by the opponent.
If you miss your second shot you lose a point so it is important to be more careful with this shot. Be a little safer because you don't want to be penalized, again this is why we must give it everything on the first shot.
So techniques to improve your tennis serve skills are very important to acquire. Your serve is the most important part of your game. When the ball is yours to serve you have control over the pace of the game. Beyond that a good serve will make winning games easy whereas a poor serve makes winning games a difficult chore.
To fix my serve I found some really cool techniques that quickly led me to develop a power-house serve which has actually gotten me a bit of a reputation at my tennis club.
