Technically, Yes The advantages include more powerful transmission through most the media and possibly a higher rate of information flow. The disadvantages are that they require much more complex and expensive equipment and more dangerous to human health. In the present communication, the equipment required is expensive enough that people have not found any practical use for gamma rays or X rays, but could well be used in the future, especially when communicating over very long or very short distance.
